Tankless gas water heater vs expansion water heater?
My standard water heater is about to die. Rust everywhere. Is it wise to re-think this and use a gas water heater of the alternative kinds? We are a 2 bathroom house of 2000 sq ft, with dishwasher. I wash clothes in cold water.
What are the advantages/disadvantages of the tankless and the expansion water heaters? I am trying hard to be "green" and consevationist. Thanks one and all

tankless has its advantages less space and your not constantly heating 80 gallons or so to keep it at its setting. however if you hand wash dishes or whatever where you turn the water on rinse turn the water off wash more turn the water on to rinse again you’ll never get hot water. it really depends on your style however with an automatic dishwasher tankless may be the way to go. check at a home depot or Lowe’s for a comparison chart.
