my gas water heater needs to be replaced ASAP. Can anyone reccomend a good electric 40 gal tank or a electric tankless water heater for a mobile home with two adults and one child.......hopefully under 0?

gas water heaters for a mobile home are more expensive than a standard water heater usually. This is because they are generally in a sealed closet and have to have a combustion air intake in the bottom of them making them "special". If yours isn’t like this I’d just keep it as gas, they will recover hot water quicker. If you can install it yourself, you can do it for less than $400. To convert it to electric you’ll have to run a wire for it and add a breaker in your panel. Probably cost about the same. to have someone install a new heater expect to pay between $150 – $500 for installation + heater. Depending on what is needed, and who you hire to do it.
if you already have gas put gas back in for an electric heater you need to run a new wire from your breaker box. otherwise go to home depot and they have 3 grades of heaters good, better, and best. Find the one you can afford.
I dont think you will find a tankless for that price but it would save you the extra cost in electricity in the long run.I just installed a tankless and the total cost was around $600. I installed it myself also.
Hello,
An electric tankless water will be better for a mobile home than others.
