I have a fifth wheel camper with 30amp service. Unfortunately last fall I wasn't able to winterize my camper in time for a hard freeze and froze and broke the water heater holding tank. Since I have the water heater out now I was thinking it may be time to switch to a tankless rather then replacing the old unit it. Is there a unit that anyone could recommend? Basically all I'm looking for is a hot shower that lasts for a lot longer then the 6 gal heater that was originally in the camper. Any help would be great, thanks.

I recently bought a home that has a tankless hot water heater. I noticed that when i cut the water the unit cuts on lights, goes out and then reattempts to light again. Then it shows reading that says that there in not enough gas going to unit (gas company game out and said I was getting enough to the house). It actually cuts on, lights and then cuts off (saw it through viewing area). Is it possible that it is not getting enough gas even though it lights up initally? Also on it a noticed that it has a flexible pipe that connects to main gas line and to water heater. Is it possible that it is restricting the flow of gas to keep a flame in the unit?
I know that it sounds weird, but I was really wondering if this could be the problem. Thanks in Advance.

The pilot light extinguishes after about an hour on heating, shorter if ignited soon after it's gone out. The pump continues to run if heating left on or hot water demanded after extinguishing. Pump stops after about 20 mins when heating turned off normally. Works fine for hot water if heating is left off. Changed thermocouple and thermostat, fault remains. Any help would be appreciated.

We have a 3-unit multifamily home with radiator heat (about 2400 finished square feet on 3 levels) in the DC area. I was shocked at my 0 heating bill for November, but was absolutely blown away at my 0 bill for December. Can I replace my boiler (it's at least 20 years old) with a tankless water heater to save money and energy?

Propane water heater Starts out Cold and after the first person takes the cold shower and maybe 10 min later the second person showering gets a hot shower. It is rare for this to happen but it does. I’m going to flush the tank tonight. I’m thinking it is an intermittent problem with the thermostat???

I'm considering replacing my conventional electric water heater with a tankless on-demand model. I like the idea of having as much hot water as I need, and I like that I don't have to provide energy to heat water when it isn't being used.
How much can I expect to save, energy-wise, with a two-bathroom house with average hot water usage? We have three adults and two children in the house.
Also, do tankless water heaters qualify for a tax credit?

I'm seriously considering purchasing one of these soon and I see that both licensed plumbers and heating and cooling pros offer installation.
I wanted to know whom should I lean towards (even if it may cost more) and what type of questions should I ask in order to ensure I get a real pro?

I am specifically interested in the SETS and American Home brands and would like to know if anyone has them and how they do or do not like them. Also, I am interested in information on other brands if you have them. Thanks. I NEED THIS INFO ASAP AS OUR WATER HEATER BROKE THIS WEEKEND AND NEEDS IMMEDIATE REPLACEMENT.

I recently moved into a home with a tankless water heater. When my husband or I take a shower, the water goes from boiling hot to freezing cold and back again several times without touching the tap handle. Does anyone know what the problem is or how to fix it? It is a relatively new system (3 years) and was recently inspected. The temp is set on 125 degrees F.
